Italian Stage S112A Active Subwoofer — Compact Low-End for Live PA

The Italian Stage S112A is a 12" active subwoofer engineered to anchor the low end of portable PA systems and mobile DJ rigs. Driven by a Class AB amplifier inside a wooden cabinet, this model comes from Italian Stage — a concert-acoustics division of the established Proel group.

Road-Ready Build with Practical Rear-Panel Tools

What separates this sub at its tier is a wooden enclosure paired with a switchable 100 Hz low-pass crossover and a phase-reverse switch — features that simplify alignment with full-range tops. A ground-lift switch and dual XLR pass-throughs let the cabinet drop into existing signal chains, while the absence of onboard EQ keeps signal routing simple and predictable.

Driver and SPL — Headroom for Live Sound

A 12" woofer paired with amplification sized for sustained live use forms the acoustic core. Peak SPL sets the room-sizing ceiling; the frequency range defines where this sub takes over from satellite tops.

• Woofer Size: 12" — compact radiating area
• Peak SPL: 126 dB — ceiling for small-to-medium venues
• Frequency Range: 40 Hz – 120 Hz — fundamental bass region

Amplifier Section — Class AB Headroom

The internal amplifier uses a Class AB topology rated for continuous and peak operation, giving the cabinet enough reserve to handle bass-heavy material without obvious compression. Dual-voltage mains support makes the unit deployable across regions.

• RMS Power: 350 W — continuous rating
• Peak Power: 700 W — headroom margin
• Power Supply: AC 110 V / AC 230 V — switchable mains

Inputs, Outputs, and Cabinet Construction

Connectivity centers on balanced XLR for inputs and outputs, letting the cabinet feed signal onward to satellite tops or additional subs. The wooden enclosure, integrated handles, and rubber feet reflect a transport-friendly design for mobile rigs.

• Inputs: 2 × XLR — balanced line-level inputs
• Outputs: 2 × XLR pass-through — feed satellite tops
• Weight: 22 kg — one-person load-in
